    Vigorous palm with a large crown. Leaves are pinnate, arching and 5-6 m long, brilliant green, they are made up of leaflets which are narrow, lance-shaped and leathery. Produces very small, dark yellow flowers which hang in large bunches. Fruit is egg shaped.
