    A succulent wich grows in compact rosettes of sword-shaped leaves. Produces panicles of yellow flowers tinged with pink. Beschorneria are large, clump-forming evergreen perennials with strap-shaped, somewhat succulent leaves and nodding tubularflowers in arching racemes with conspicuous red bracts in late spring or early summer. B. yuccoides forms large clump of slightly fleshy, grey-green, strap-shaped leaves to 20cm in length. Yellow-green tubular flowers with showy red bracts borne in arching racemes to 1,5m in height.
